Role: Automation Engineer

Work Type: 6 months contract, extendable again for 6 months

JD: We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer on a contract basis to develop and implement automation solutions using Python, VBScript, VBA, Excel, and Power Automate Desktop. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual with 3+ years of experience in process automation who can deliver impactful solutions within a specified timeframe.

Key Responsibilities:
Automation Development: Create and implement automation solutions using Python, VBScript, VBA, and Excel to optimize business processes.
Process Analysis: Evaluate existing processes to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
Scripting and Macros: Develop and maintain VBScript and VBA macros to automate tasks within Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Power Automate Desktop: Utilize Power Automate Desktop to design and deploy automated workflows and integrations.
Project Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to gather requirements and ensure that automation solutions meet business needs.
Documentation: Develop and update comprehensive documentation for all automation workflows and processes.
Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for existing automation solutions and resolve issues as they arise.
Continuous Improvement: Keep up with the latest automation tools and trends to introduce innovative solutions.

Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation using Python, VBScript, VBA, and Excel.

Technical Skills:
Proficient in Python scripting for automation.
Extensive experience with VBScript and VBA for Microsoft Office automation.
Advanced Excel skills, including the development of complex macros.
Hands-on experience with Power Automate Desktop is highly desirable.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in automation and documentation.
Independence: Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with additional automation tools or languages.
Knowledge of database management and SQL.
Familiarity with RPA tools and methodologies
